HARRISONBURG, Va. – The University of Richmond men's tennis team earned a 5-2 win over James Madison on Saturday at the Hillside Courts in Harrisonburg, Virginia. With the win, Richmond improved to 4-5 on the season, while the Dukes dropped to 3-4.

How it Happened
Richmond cruised through doubles play to open the match as Cole Brashear and Davis Wiley dominated Agusti and Schmitt (JMU) 6-1 on the ace court and on court three, Dylan Atkinson and Otto Sewell clinched the point with a 6-3 win over Giersiepen and Lee (JMU). The match on court two, featuring Paxton Pritchard and Sam Rathmanner against Sanchez and Sinopoli (JMU), was left unfinished at 5-5.

The Dukes took the first singles point on court three to even the match before Sam Rathmanner defeated Wiebe (JMU) 6-4, 6-1 on court six. Richmond took back the lead on court four as Otto Sewell secured a 6-4, 6-3 win over Fleishman (JMU). The Spiders extended their lead on court five with Cole Brashear powering past Sanchez (JMU) 6-1, 6-4. JMU earned their final point on court two, where Sinopoli (JMU) outlasted Paxton Pritchard 6-3, 7-5. Richmond rounded out the match on court one, where Davis Wiley battled through two tiebreakers to defeat Schmitt (JMU) 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (7-3).
