Spider Performance: Professional Success

When approaching graduation, the Spider network of staff, faculty, coaches, and alumni works to ensure students are set up for a successful future in professional athletics, professional academics, professional careers, or all three.
Spider Performance is dedicated to helping Spiders meet their career goals.
Career Preparation: Counselors and advisors help create a resume, secure an internship, search for job possibilities, and prepare for an interview.
Alumni Networking: Spiders have access to a network of more than 60,000 University of Richmond alumni who are eager to support UR graduates on their path to professional achievement.
Mentorship Programs: Student-athletes have the opportunity to be paired with a mentor who has expert-level knowledge and professional experience. The mentorship program creates a one-on-one relationship that allows Spiders to explore areas of professional interest.
Life Skills: Transition from a D-I athlete to the “real world” with programs that focus on skills you’ll need as a graduate, from the macro (financial literacy and healthcare) to the micro (how to change a tire and learn to swim). Whenever you leave Richmond, you’ll be ready for your next step.

The combination of rigorous academics and discipline learned on the court shaped me into a well-rounded individual ready for the professional arena. Richmond offers more than just a degree, but a strong support system, a network of Spiders, and the resources to foster success after college.Addie Budnik, Spider Women's Basketball
