
Richmond Finishes Second at ECAC Championship

FAIRFAX, Va. – The University of Richmond's women's track and field team finished second with 94 points at the ECAC Outdoor Championship, at George Mason on Sunday afternoon. The Spiders brought home 10 medals, including four gold medals.
The 4x800 meter relay captured gold with a time of 8:52.87. The relay was run by Dylan Miller, Ashley Bolesh, Morgan Lyons and Caroline Donohoe. The Spider relay finished nearly two seconds ahead of the next finisher.
The 4x400 meter relay did not disappoint as the Spiders captured gold with a season best time of 3:42.09. The relay was run by Morgan Elliott, Gabrielle Cummings, Elke Van der Westhuizen and Virginia Beringer.
In the 200 meter, Gabrielle Cummings captured bronze with a time of 24.33. In the 100 meter final, Cummings finished fourth with a time of 11.97.
In the 3,000 meter, Brooke Reif ran a personal best time of 9:55.49 and finished fourth.
