
Mikusova, Wise Prepare for NCAA East First Round

RICHMOND, Va. – Two members of the University of Richmond's women's track and field team have qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field East First Round in Jacksonville, Fla.Â

After record breaking performances earlier this season, Molly Wise (long jump) and Darya Mikusova (400M hurdles), compete on Thursday, May 29 for a chance to punch their ticket to Eugene, Ore.

In the East Region, Wise is tied No. 14 in the long jump with a mark of 6.32 meters. With her mark, Wise won the Raleigh Relays and set a new school record in this event.Â

Mikusova is ranked No. 33 in the East Region in the 400-meter hurdles. Mikusova set a new school record this season at the Atlantic 10 Championships with a time of 58.23 in the preliminaries, she captured gold.
Both Spiders compete on Thursday, May 29. The long jump starts at 4:30 p.m. and the 400-meter hurdles start at 8:20 p.m.
