
Spiders Earns No. 3 Seed in A-10 Women's Tennis Championship, Begin Play on April 25

RICHMOND, Va. — The University of Richmond women's tennis team has earned the No. 3 seed for the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship, slated for April 24-27, and will open postseason play on Friday, April 25 at 11:30 a.m. in Orlando, Fla. at the USTA National Campus.
The Spiders will face the winner of No. 6 Duquesne and No. 11 George Mason, who are scheduled to compete Thursday at 2 p.m.
Richmond heads into the tournament riding a nine-match win streak and finished the regular season at 14-6 overall and 6-2 in conference play. The Spiders were dominant at home with a 9-2 record at the Westhampton Tennis Complex.
The No. 3 seeding marks Richmond's highest entering the tournament since 2021. Last season, the Spiders earned the No. 8 seed and made a thrilling run to the A-10 Championship final, ultimately falling 4-2 to No. 3 Massachusetts. Richmond was also seeded No. 4 in 2023 and No. 8 in 2022.
