
Muldoon Reaches Career Milestone In Loss To Liberty

Richmond, Va. – University of Richmond senior Grace Muldoon recorded her 100th career draw control with her fourth of five on the day, while also leading the team with five points and a caused turnover in Richmond's 14-13 loss to Liberty at home on Saturday.
Muldoon finished the game with five draw controls, two goals, three assists, a ground ball, and a caused turnover. She was joined by Colleen Quinn as Richmond's points leader, who scored five goals. Juliana Stanley, Alexis Morton (assist), and Bridget Lonsinger (assist) each added two goals, while Keating Hopkins contributed two assists.
The Spiders, who trailed by as much as five on four separate occasions, made a late push. Richmond scored the final four goals of the game, including three woman-up tallies, to close the gap and pull within one. However, Liberty's defense held strong, and the Spiders ultimately fell by a single goal.
Richmond won the draw battle 20-11, but Liberty would cash in on 26 Richmond turnovers including six on failed clears as well as 14-of-19 shooting to earn the win.
The Spiders will look to regroup on Wednesday when the team visits James Madison. Game time is set for 5:00 in Harrisonburg.
