Hello wonderful people!
I'm writing to you all from the BIG APPLE—New York City! I just wrapped up my internship this afternoon and am excited to reflect on everything I've experienced this summer.
The summer started off with a dream: our team trip to Amsterdam and San Sebastián. It truly felt like something out of a fairy tale. I could go on and on about the breathtaking views, rich history, and of course, the incredible food—but if I did, this little blurb would turn into a novel.
After returning from Europe, I spent a few weeks at home in San Francisco—my favorite place in the world. I soaked up much-needed time with family and friends, enjoyed the sunshine while it lasted, and tried to make the most of every moment. During that time, I also unexpectedly took on a role as a social media marketing intern for two incredible women who started their own boxed wine business. That spontaneous opportunity became one of the highlights of my summer—it even sparked a new passion for interviewing! (You can check out some of the interviews I did on their Instagram page: @drinkvinodisco).

One of the most rewarding and transformative parts of my summer, however, was my internship with Robertson Stephens, a boutique wealth management here in New York. In just a few short weeks, I was immersed in the world of finance in a way that was both educational and eye opening.
Â
Because of the firm's size and structure, we interns weren't siloed off in one department—we had the chance to engage directly with professionals across the organization, from analysts and advisors to members of the C-suite. The hands-on exposure I received gave me a broader understanding of not only wealth management, but how strong relationships and trust drive the success of the industry.
What really stood out, though, was the culture at Robertson Stephens. From day one, the team emphasized that this internship wasn't just about developing technical skills—it was about building lasting connections. We were encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and network with everyone in the office. That kind of intentional mentorship left a huge impression on me. I walked away with real-world experience, a more nuanced understanding of financial services, and a growing network of people I genuinely admire.
Now, I'm looking forward to finishing out the summer on Nantucket, soaking up more sun with my family, friends, and—most importantly—my dogs, Hank and Willie!
As excited as I am to return to campus and start senior year, I'm doing my best to live in the moment and appreciate the final stretch of summer. This summer was filled with new experiences and adventures and I could not be more grateful. Of course, I've already started daydreaming about getting back on the field with my teammates and working toward achieving the A-10 championship in our final season together.
Up next is Grace Gannon, who will be sharing all about her time studying abroad at the University for Foreigners of Perugia in Italy—stay tuned!
