RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond women's soccer team suffered a 2-0 defeat against Saint Louis Thursday afternoon at President's Field. With the loss, the Spiders fell to 3-9-2 overall and 1-6 in Atlantic 10 Conference play, while the Billikens improved to 9-1-5 and 5-0-2 in the league.

Saint Louis got off to a quick start, with Hope Kim finding the back of the net just two minutes into the game. Moments later, SLU doubled its lead when Hannah Sawyer set up Emily Gaebe for a second goal in the fifth minute. McKenna Dalfonso made 10 saves, but the Spiders were unable to generate any shots on target. The Billikens continued to apply pressure throughout the match, totaling 20 shots, 12 on goal, while the Richmond defense held steady in the second 45, but couldn't find a breakthrough offensively.
