Zinn Collects Second A10 Offensive Player of the Week Honor

Zinn totaled two goals and two assists for six points across a pair of wins for the Spiders last week.
Thursday at VMI, Zinn scored the game-winning goal in the 81st minute of Richmond's 1-0 victory, poking home a rebound for her second game-winning goal of the season.
Sunday, Zinn recorded a goal and two assists in Richmond's 4-1 win over Howard. She opened the scoring in the 30th minute, assisted Sophia Jurado's goal less than three minutes later, and added another assist on Camden Henard's goal in the 78th minute. Zinn finished the match with four points as Richmond completed the first unbeaten non-conference season in program history.
The Montclair, N.J., native leads Richmond with four goals, three assists, and 11 points — third most in the A10 — this season. The Spiders improved to 5-0-3 with Sunday's victory and extended their program-record unbeaten streak to 11 games dating back to last season.
Zinn also earned A10 Offensive Player of the Week honors on Aug. 24 after recording two goals and an assist in matches against American and Queens. She is the first Spider to earn multiple A10 weekly honors in the same season since Brooke Beam won a pair of A10 Rookie of the Week awards in 2016. Zinn is the first Spider to multiple A10 Player of the Week Awards in the same season since 2011, when Becca Wann was honored in consecutive weeks on Sept. 6 and Sept. 12.
Zinn and the unbeaten Spiders will open Atlantic 10 play Sunday at George Washington, with the game kicking off on ESPN Plus at 1 PM.
