
Georgetown Edges Men's Tennis, 4-3

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Richmond men's tennis team was edged by the Georgetown Hoyas, 4-3, Wednesday afternoon.
The Spiders put up a fight in doubles competition. The Dunbar brothers easily took the 6-3 match on court one, but courts two and three were edged, 6-5 (6).
Ethan Dunbar and Jacob Dunbar kept their momentum going in singles. Ethan Dunbar defeated Daniel Khanin, 3-6, 6-5(4), 6-3, while Jacob Dunbar downed Shane Korber, 6-3, 6-1, on courts one and two, respectively.
The Hoyas recorded wins on courts three, four and six to secure the win. Canyon Teague picked up the final victory for the Spiders as he took the 6-2, 6-1 match over Yannik Mahlangu at the five spot.
Richmond will be back in action when it travels to Davidson, N.C., to take on the Wildcats and Presbyterian College Saturday, Feb. 8.
