
Men's Tennis Blanks Bonnies In Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Richmond men's tennis team blanked the St. Bonaventure Bonnies, 7-0, Saturday at the Altha Tennis and Fitness of Pittsburgh for the Spiders first A-10 victory of 2014.
The Spiders dominated play, taking all but two matches with straight sets. Jacob Dunbar led the way with a 6-0, 6-1 win on court two. Ethan Dunbar, Canyon Teague and Noah Fenton also picked up straight-set wins.
Richmond easily took the doubles points, as top duo Alex Hahn and Canyon Teague defeated Ortiz/Irizarry, 8-4, while Dylan Trent and Jonathan Quenard capped off Haskell/DeSanto, 8-4, to collect the point.
The Spiders also faced host Duquesne Sunday afternoon and fell to the Dukes, 5-2, to conclude the weekend. Results to follow shortly.
Richmond will hit the court Wednesday, Feb. 5 against Georgetown at 10 a.m. in Alexandria, Va.
