WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -
The Richmond men's tennis team started its 2011 slate at William & Mary over the weekend, but fell 7-0 to the Tribe.
Richmond battled throughout the doubles spot, but ultimately fell 8-5 at No. 1 tandem and 8-4 at No. 2 doubles.
"In doubles, we competed hard and showed signs on good discipline tennis," said head coach Ben Johnson. "This coming week in practice we hope to learn and make the proper adjustments to improve. As for singles, we must do a better job protecting our serve."
The Spiders return to action Jan. 25 at VCU at 4:30 p.m.
