Men's Tennis Overtakes George Mason, 6-1

DUMRIES, Va. - The Richmond men's tennis team (6-8) cruised past George Mason, 6-1 Thursday evening in Dumfries, Va.
"We played a pretty solid match today from top-to-bottom," said head coach Billy Boykin. "Our doubles play has been a little inconsistent recently, so we focused on doubles this past week -- It was nice to see our guys execute better in doubles play and pocket that early point. We had great singles efforts today throughout the lineup. Senior Will Minter led the way for us -- he's hitting the ball very well right now."
Minter took care of Greg Donabedian (GM) - 6-2, 6-3 while A-10 Player of the Week Sebastien Fauchet dominated Jorge Osuna (GM) - 6-1, 6-1. Three other Spiders recorded wins in singles play.
In doubles action, No. 1 tandem Fauchet and Jesse Feder downed Osuna/McMillen (GM) - 8-4 while Minter/Schrode (UR) def. Coster/Mulquin (GM) - 8-2.
Richmond returns to action Saturday when it hosts Howard at 2:00 p.m.
