UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The men's tennis team fell to George Washington, 7-0 Friday afternoon in Richmond. The Spiders travel to UMBC Sunday for a 2 p.m. match.
"George Washington is a quality team," said head coach Billy Boykin. "They're coming off a great year, which saw them finish second in the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships. This year's team is just as good if not better. We got a good look today at one of the top teams in the conference and now our guys know where they want to be. More importantly, however, I think they understand that hard work is the only way to get there."
