
Men's Tennis Falls To Navy, 5-2

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. - The Richmond men's tennis squad dropped a 5-2 decision to Navy on Wednesday afternoon in Richmond, Va.
In doubles action, Michael Sommer and Doug Banker paired up for a win at the no. 2 spot, earning their third-straight win; however, Navy claimed wins at the no. 1 and 3 spots to claim the doubles point.
In singles play, Banker and Sami Belakhlef earned straight-set wins at second and sixth singles, the third consecutive singles win for both; however, the Spiders dropped at the no. 1, 3, 4 and 5 spots as visiting Navy took a 5-2 win over the Spiders.
The Spiders (7-14, 2-3 in A-10) will return to the court tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. as they play host to East Carolina in their final match of the regular season. Spider seniors Bobby McNally and Charlie Seltzer will play their final regular season matches in a Richmond uniform tomorrow afternoon.
