Navy Edges By Men's Tennis On Saturday

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The University of Richmond men's tennis team fell short at Navy, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon. Doug Banker and Bobby McNally came up with singles' victories at the No. 1 and 2 positions, and Brett Waikart brought in a point for the Spiders after winning the No. 5 singles position as the Spiders fell to 2-6 overall.
The two teams split at singles, 3-3, with Richmond claiming victories at Nos. 1, 2 and 5; however, the Spiders then dropped all three matches in doubles action and Navy took a 4-3 victory over Richmond.
The Spiders will continue play on Feb. 15 when they will host Hampton. Action will start at 8:00 p.m. on the Richmond campus.
