
Men's Tennis Falls to Penn, 4-3

RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Richmond men's tennis team was defeated by the University of Penn, 4-3, Friday evening at the Country Club of Virginia in Richmond. The Spiders record falls to 1-8 on the season.
Richmond claimed the doubles point and the early 1-0 lead. Penn responded by winning the first three singles matches, however the Spiders were able to force two of them to the third set. Juniors Jeppy Moss (Fredericksburg, Va.) and Matthew Cabana (Charlotte, N.C.) won their singles matches in the fourth and fifth positions, respectively, to tie the match at three. The Quakers were able to win in the sixth spot and clinch the win.
The Spiders return to the courts on Friday, February 20 when they face Davidson at 2 p.m.
