Men's Tennis Falls 4-3 To Elon On Friday

Elon, N.C. - Elon (3-1) got on the board first when Pramote Malasitt and Richard Dutton captured the number one doubles win, 8-5, against Richmond's (3-6) David Donn and Matthew Cabana. The Spiders' Niki Doll and Derek Schwandt combined to knock off Elon's Mikael Houlst and Nathan Lefevre, 8-3, at the number two spot. The Phoenix completed doubles play as Justin Roberson and Thomas Rohof earned an 8-3 victory over Jeppy Moss and Dan Scrafford.
In singles action, the Spiders Donn defeated Houlst, 3-6, 6-3, 10-3, in the one slot. Malasitt cruised past Doll, 6-0, 6-3, at the two, while Lefevre knocked off Cabana, 2-6, 6-3, 10-3, at number three. Rohof continued Elon's success as he defeated Schwandt, 6-0, 4-6, 10-8, in the four slot. Richmond was able to get the final two wins at the five and six slots as Scrafford fought past Roberson 2-6, 6-3, 10-4 and Moss glided past Dutton 6-1, 6-3.
