
Men's Tennis Defeated at Old Dominion, 6-1

NORFOLK, Va. - The University of Richmond's men's tennis team lost at Old Dominion Saturday afternoon, 6-1. The loss snapped the team's five-match winning streak and dropped its record to 10-7. Old Dominion improved to 10-5.
The lone Richmond point came at the No. 4 singles spot as freshman Matthew Cabana (Plantation, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) defeated Patrik Binkowski, 6-7, 6-1, 1-0. Cabana improved to 8-7 this spring with the victory.
Despite losing the doubles point, Richmond did claim one of three victories in doubles competition as sophomore David Donn (East Longmeadow Mass./East Longmeadow) teamed with freshman Jeppy Moss (Fredericksburg, Va./Woodberry Forest School) to win at the No. 3 spot, 8-6.
The Spiders return to action Monday, March 25, as they host West Virginia at the UR Tennis Complex at 2:30 p.m.
