
Women's Tennis Falls to Campbell, 5-2

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The University of Richmond women's tennis team lost to Campbell University, 5-2, Friday afternoon at Virginia Tech. Sophomore Jeannette Cluskey and freshman Lindsay Cox claimed both victories for the Spiders, who fell to 2-2 in the spring.
Cluskey won at the No. 1 spot, 6-2, 6-4, over Carmen Linder while Cox defeated Laurence Poujoulat, 6-2, 6-3, at the No. 3 position. Both juniors Vanessa Bagnato and Casey Cohen lost matches that went the distance, at the No. 2 and 4 spots, respectively. Campbell won all three doubles matches to claim the doubles point.
The Spiders return to action Saturday morning as they remain in Blacksburg to face the Hokies at 8:30 a.m.
