
Men's Tennis Defeats George Washington, 6-1

The Spiders won five of six singles matches on the afternoon, with victories at the No. 2-6 spots by David Donn, Danny Scrafford, Matthew Cabana, Derek Schwandt, and Jeppy Moss, respectively. Niki Doll lost at the No. 1 spot in a super-tiebreaker, 6-2, 6-7, 10-8.
Richmond clinched the doubles point when the No. 2 tandem of Donn and Tim Hadsel-Mares saved a match point in the tie-breaker and then went on to win the match, 9-8. At No. 3, Scrafford and Schwandt were victorious, 8-4, while Doll and Todd Parker fell at the No. 1 position, 9-7.
The Spiders face the U.S. Naval Academy on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in Annapolis, Md.
