Richmond Falls to La Salle, 2-0 In Women's Soccer

PHILADELPHIA -La Salle University goalkeeper Kaitlin Glass became the program's all-time shutout record holder at Richmond's expense as the Explorers blanked the Spiders, 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at McCarthy Field.
The home team struck first at the 9:48 mark of the first half when Shannon Plunkett knocked in her second goal of the season, the eventual game-winner. La Salle would get insurance early in the second half, when Liz Schmidt scored the give the Explorers a 2-0 advantage.
Richmond returns home this weekend entertaining UMass on Friday, October 26 at 7:00 p.m at First Market Stadium. They host Rhode Island on Sunday afternoon.
