RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond field hockey team extended the program's win and shutout streak to three-straight games Friday, with a 4-0 victory over Georgetown Friday evening to move to 4-1 on the year.

Richmond is back in action at Crenshaw Field Sunday, Sept. 13, hosting No. 5 North Carolina on ESPN+. Game time is set for noon and is free for fans to attend.

Lillian Buckwalter got the Spiders on the board in the sixth minute of action, collecting a pass from Reese Miller to score her first goal of the season.

UR took the 1-0 lead into halftime, posting six shots with two on goal and three corners while holding Georgetown without a shot or corner attempt.

Clara Larripa kick-started the Spider offense in the third quarter. Larripa powered a shot off a penalty corner pass from Elen Nicholls and Buckwalter with the stick stop for her eighth goal of the season in the 45^th minute.

Buckwalter wasn't finished scoring. She picked up her second goal in the 48^th minute after cleaning up an errant Hoyas pass with a one-timer into the back of the net.

Ten minutes of game action later, Leah Horwitz tallied her first Spider career goal. The Richmond defense made the stop in midfield and Malena Magnano zipped a pass to Horwitz for the score.

Spider goalkeeper Amanda Cimillo (4-1) tallied her third shutout of the season as she guided the UR defense to allow just one shot and one penalty corner to Georgetown, both late in the fourth quarter.
