Wilson Collects Third A-10 Rookie of the Week Honors

RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond Baseball's Evan Wilson was named Atlantic 10 Conference Under Armour Baseball Rookie of the Week for a third time this season and for a second-straight week.
In the lead of spot against VCU, Wilson hit .333 with an on base percentage of .385 and slugged .750. The Lancaster, Pa., native had four hits, including two doubles and a home run, drew a walk and scored twice. In right field, he had four put outs and one assist without making an error.
In Friday's contest against the Rams, Wilson brought in the eventual game-winning run in the second inning with an RBI double to right. On Saturday, he led off the first inning with a solo home run to deep center field. In the series finale, Wilson had two hits, including a double.
On the season, Wilson is hitting .321 with an OPS of 1.090, on base of .467 and slugging .623 in 34 total games played. He is second on the team with eight home runs, 18 walks drawn, 11 hit by pitches, third with eight doubles and fifth with 34 hits. He also has seven stolen bases.
