Giordano Named as NCBWA All-America Team Selection

RICHMOND, Va. – Spider Baseball's left-handed pitcher Joey Giordano was named to the 2026 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association All-America Third Team, the organization announced this week.
Giordano became the first Spider pitcher since Tim Stauffer in 2003 to collect Atlantic 10 Conference Pitcher of the Year honors. In his first full season on the mound since UCL surgery, the Montvale, NJ native finished the season with the nation's second-best record of 11-0 in 13 starts over 75.1 innings pitched. The sophomore was also a 2026 Dick Howser Trophy Award semifinalist and was named to the 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-Atlantic Region Second Team earlier this week. He wrapped up the year fourth in the A-10 with a 3.35 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP.
