Wilson Named to Perfect Game Collegiate Freshman All-America Team

RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond baseball's Evan Wilson was named to the 2026 Perfect Game Collegiate Freshman All-America Second Team as a two-way player, the organization announced Thursday.
Wilson became the fifth Spider in program history to be named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year and first since Jordan Jaffe in 2023. The Lancaster, PA native also collected four A-10 Rookie of the Week accolades during the season, most recently on May 11 after hitting a walk-off grand slam to defeat George Washington. Wilson was also named to the A-10 Second Team and All-Rookie squad.
Wilson was third on the Spiders with a.329 average with 49 hits, including 15 doubles and nine home runs, 36 RBI, 24 walks, 13 hit by pitches, and eight stolen bases in 40 starts. He finished the season among the top 10 in the league in OPS (1.073), on base percentage (.611), and slugging percentage (.611).
Wilson also saw action on the mound, tossing eight innings over six relief appearances. He made his pitching debut against Monmouth on opening weekend and struck out four. He collected his first win against William & Mary April 21 after allowing two runs, one earned, on three hits over an inning and two thirds
