RICHMOND, Va. — Andrew Ball, a 6'9" forward from Marlton, N.J., will transfer to Richmond and play for the Spiders this upcoming season.
Ball will graduate with a business administration degree from Monmouth this spring after using three seasons of eligibility during his four years with the Hawks. He will pursue a graduate degree at UR next school year.
Ball averaged 7.9 points and 3.9 rebounds, both career highs, while appearing in 34 games with nine starts for Monmouth last season. He helped the Hawks to a 19-15 record and a berth in the CAA Championship game, where they fell to Hofstra. At Hampton on January 22, Ball registered a career-high 19 points while shooting 7-7 from the field with five three-pointers.
Ball shot 50.5% from the field, second on the team, and 63.1% from two-point range, second best among all CAA players with at least 200 field goal attempts last season.
He averaged 3.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 10.8 minutes per game while appearing in 33 games as a redshirt sophomore in 2024-25 and produced 4.0 points and 1.7 rebounds per game while appearing in 31 games with seven starts as a freshman in 2022-23. Ball received a medical redshirt in 2023-24.
Ball prepped at Shawnee High School, where he earned All-Conference and All-County accolades. He is the fourth member of Richmond's 2026 transfer class, joining Jamie Kaiser Jr., Amon Dörries, and Jack McCaffery.
