Basketball Announces 2026-27 Atlantic 10 Schedule

RICHMOND, Va. — Richmond men's basketball will play eight nationally televised games during its 18-game Atlantic 10 schedule in 2026-27, including four national TV appearances at the Robins Center, the conference announced Tuesday.
The Spiders will play nine conference games at home and nine on the road, with three games selected for CBS Sports Network and five scheduled for USA Network. For the second straight season, Richmond will play home-and-home series against Davidson, George Washington, Rhode Island, St. Bonaventure and VCU.
Richmond will open A10 play on the road at George Mason on Wednesday, Dec. 30, before returning to the Robins Center for consecutive home games against Loyola Chicago on Saturday, Jan. 2, and Saint Louis on Wednesday, Jan. 6. The matchup with Saint Louis will air on CBS Sports Network.
The Spiders will play their first USA Network game of the season on Saturday, Jan. 9, at Davidson before traveling to Dayton on Wednesday, Jan. 13. Richmond will then return home to host Rhode Island on Saturday, Jan. 16, on USA Network and Duquesne on Wednesday, Jan. 20.
Following their first of two in-season byes, the Spiders will visit George Washington on Wednesday, Jan. 27, before making the short trip to VCU on Saturday, Jan. 30, for the first of two Richmond Area Honda Dealers Capital City Classic matchups, both of which will air on CBS Sports Network.
February begins with a home game against Davidson on Wednesday, Feb. 3, followed by a trip to St. Bonaventure on Saturday, Feb. 6, on USA Network. The Spiders will then play back-to-back home games against George Washington on Wednesday, Feb. 10, and VCU on Saturday, Feb. 13.
Richmond will visit Rhode Island on Wednesday, Feb. 17, before hosting St. Bonaventure on Saturday, Feb. 20, on USA Network. The Spiders' final nationally televised game of the regular season will come Saturday, Feb. 27, at La Salle on USA Network following the team's second off date of the A10 season.
UR will close the regular season with a road game at Saint Joseph's on Wednesday, March 3, and a home matchup against Fordham on Saturday, March 6. The 2027 Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Championship will be held March 10-14 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The team also announced a final addition to its non-conference schedule Tuesday. Richmond will welcome Southern Virginia to the Robins Center on Thursday, Nov. 5, with the game tipping off at 7 PM.
The 2026-27 Spiders feature 10 newcomers, the most in head coach Chris Mooney's 22 seasons with the program. The returners are led by sophomore Aiden Argabright, who led all Atlantic 10 freshmen in scoring and steals last season while becoming the first Spider since 2018 to land on the A10 All-Rookie Team.
