Spiders Celebrate Program, Continue Spring Growth at Annual Banquet

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond women's soccer team is rounding out its 2026 spring campaign, continuing to build cohesion and momentum ahead of the fall season while celebrating its program at the annual end-of-season banquet.
Richmond's spring slate has featured the program's full 20-hour training schedule along with competition opportunities against NCAA opponents, as the Spiders focus on growth and development in the final weeks of the offseason.
"We are a little more than halfway through the spring season and have continued to grow in our cohesiveness and maturity," head coach Adam Denton said. "We are looking forward to the final few weeks and finishing strong as a group."
This past weekend, the Spiders hosted their annual team banquet, bringing together current student-athletes, incoming players and supporters to celebrate the season.
"It is always a great event celebrating our graduating players and our team as a whole," Denton said. "We value the opportunity to recognize everything they have accomplished on and off the field in a team setting. Having our incoming class be part of this celebration is also important, as the four years go by quickly and it allows them to immediately feel connected to our program."
The banquet honored Richmond's graduating class, recognized team award winners and welcomed the incoming 2026 class, who had the opportunity to connect with their future teammates and hear from current players about their experiences.
Following the banquet, Richmond hosted its annual alumnae game, bringing together past and present Spiders. In addition, Denton also expressed his appreciation for the program's graduating class as they prepare for Commencement.
"I would like to thank our graduate students and seniors for their dedication and commitment to Richmond Soccer," Denton said. "We are excited to see all that lies ahead for them in their next chapter."Gallery: (3-30-2026) 2026 Soccer Alumnae Game
