
Four Spiders Earn Atlantic 10 Men’s Tennis Postseason Honors

RICHMOND, Va. — The University of Richmond men's tennis team was well-represented on the 2024-25 Atlantic 10 men's tennis All-Conference teams, as four Spiders notched postseason honors, the league office announced on Monday.
Sophomore Dylan Atkinson and junior Davis Wiley were each named to the All-Conference First Team, while sophomores Cole Brashear and Paxton Pritchard were selected to the All-Conference Second Team. The Spiders ended the year 12-9 overall, 4-2 in conference play and saw an appearance in the A-10 Championship semifinal match.
Atkinson, who anchored the middle of the Richmond lineup, posted a team-best 10-4 record in singles He won seven of his last eight completed singles matches, including victories over Saint Joseph's, Fordham and George Mason. In doubles, Atkinson added 10 wins while pairing primarily with Otto Sewell, as he finished doubles play at 10-6 overall.
Wiley, who competed at the top of the singles ladder all season, delivered a 4-2 record in Atlantic 10 matches and earned key victories over Davidson's Uddayvir Singh and Fordham's Dhillon Virdee-Oakley. The junior finished the year 8-9 overall in singles and added eight doubles wins alongside Brashear in the No. 1 spot.
Brashear was one of the Spiders' most consistent performers throughout the dual season. He finished 9-5 in singles, including a 3-2 mark in A-10 play, capped off with a win over Davidson in Richmond's regular-season finale. In doubles, he went 8-7 at the top of the lineup, all while partnered with Wiley.
Pritchard rounded out Richmond's honorees with an All-Conference Second Team selection following a strong spring in doubles. He and partner Sam Rathmanner dominated in conference action, going 5-0 in A-10 doubles matches, and finished the year 11-4 overall. Pritchard added five singles wins primarily at the No. 2 position and capped the season with victories over George Mason and VCU.
