
Bakhaya Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

RICHMOND, Va. — University of Richmond women's tennis junior Lara Bakhaya has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced this week. The award recognizes student-athletes for their combined excellence on the court and in the classroom.
Bakhaya, a junior, wrapped up the 2025 season with a 13-4 singles record, highlighted by an eight-match win streak from March 22 through April 13. In doubles play, she posted a 13-7 mark, including key victories during the Atlantic 10 Championship against Duquesne and VCU, partnering with Andrea Campodonico on the top court.
To qualify for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale, and compete in at least 70 percent of their team's scoring matches.
