Wiley Earns A-10 Player of the Week Honors After Back-to-Back Singles Wins

RICHMOND, Va. – Richmond's men's tennis junior Davis Wiley was named the Atlantic 10 Under Armour Player of the Week after extending his singles win streak to three with a pair of dominant performances to round out conference play.
Wiley helped the Spiders to back-to-back A-10 victories over Saint Joseph's and Davidson over the weekend, delivering straight-set wins on the top singles court in both matches.
On Friday, Wiley set the tone early with a commanding 6-2, 6-1 win over Justus Agbo (SJU) on court one, helping lead Richmond to a 4-0 sweep of the Hawks. The next day, he kept rolling with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Uddayvir Singh (DAV) as the Spiders posted a 4-1 victory at the Westhampton Tennis Complex.
In doubles play, Wiley partnered with Cole Brashear on court one. The duo was trailing 4-5 against Saint Joseph's when the match went unfinished and were locked in a 6-6 battle against Davidson before doubles was halted due to clinch.
The weekly honor is the third of Wiley's career and marks the third A-10 weekly award of the season for the Spiders.
