
Spiders Sweep Saint Joseph’s, Match Highest Win Total Since 2016

RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond women's tennis team pushed its win streak to eight-straight matches on Friday with a 4-0 sweep of Saint Joseph's at the Westhampton Tennis Complex. The Spiders improved to 13-6 on the season, matching their highest win total since going 13-10 in 2015-16 and improved to 5-2 in Atlantic 10 Conference play.

How It Happened
Richmond cruised through doubles action as Lara Bakhaya and Andrea Campodonico rolled to a 6-1 win on court one, followed by a 6-1 clinch on court three from Claire Le Du and Lainey O'Neil. Sofia Barbulescu and Elizabeth Novak put an exclamation point in the opening matches with a 6-3 win on court two.
In singles, Barbulescu made quick work of Wiktoria Czerny (SJU) 6-1, 6-3 on court one before O'Neil followed with a 6-4, 6-1 win on court four. Abby Lee delivered the clinching point with a dominant 6-3, 6-0 victory over Gisele Tang (SJU) on court five.
The remaining singles matches were left unfinished, with Richmond leading or tied on all three courts.
