Spiders Compete in 5K at CSCAA Open Water Championships

SARASOTA, Fla. — Members of the University of Richmond women's swimming team competed in the 5K open water swim at the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Open Water Championships, racing against a field of 96 participants.

Natalie Stuart led Richmond with a 21st-place finish in 59:49.8. Kaitlyn Bauer followed in 24th place at 1:00:10.0, while Carys Edgar placed 34th in 1:00:46.5. MaryAgnes Smith rounded out the Spiders' finishers, taking 43rd in 1:01:05.4.

The Spiders completed their final meet of 2025 and return to the pool Jan. 9 against William & Mary, Old Dominion and East Carolina at the Hampton Virginia Aquaplex in Hampton, Va.
