Spiders Advance Two to Finals, Take Fourth in 400 Medley Relay at NIC

OCALA, Fla. – Spiders competed at the National Invitational Championships (NIC), hosted by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) at the FAST Facility on Thursday. Two Spiders advanced to the finals and the Richmond relay finished in the top four.

Hannah Wieczorek finished fourth in the A final with a time of 24.98 in the 50 back.

In the 50 breast, Presley Baber finished sixth in the B final with a time of 28.80. She also swam a 23.02 in the 50 free B final.

Richmond finished fourth in the 400 medley relay. Swimming the relay were Wieczorek, Gabbie Primiano, Erin Budde and Baber, finishing with a time of 3:40.26, narrowly missing the school record by .06 seconds.

The Spiders currently sit in 17th place with 70 points out of 46 teams.

Richmond returns to the water at 9:30 a.m. Friday with the 400 IM.
