Cimillo Collects Final A-10 Defensive Weekly Honor

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Richmond's Amanda Cimillo has been named Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday (Nov. 3). This is Cimillo's second weekly honor and the Spiders seventh of the season. UR has had three defensive weekly honors during the regular season.
 
In the Spiders only game of the week, Cimillo collected the double overtime victory against VCU to secure the top seed in the A-10 Championship and a share of the 2025 A-10 regular season title. UR finished the season with an 11-7 season record and 5-1 in league action.
 
Cimillo made nine saves against the Rams after facing 13 of 14 shots in the final 43-plus minutes of action. The Rams scored in the 49th minute of action to force overtime action on a penalty corner.
 
Cimillo's first weekly defensive award came on September 15.
