RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Richmond women's tennis team picked up a 4-1 win over visiting Drake Monday afternoon at the Westhampton Tennis Complex. With the win, the Spiders improved to 4-3 overall while the Bulldogs fell to 4-8.

Elizabeth Novak and Claire Le Du got the lone doubles win for the Spiders, topping Ehn/Stephan (DU), 6-0. Lainey O'Neil and Carly Cohen won by forfeit on court three to give UR the doubles point.

In singles, Drake was able to get a lone win on court two as Haagensen (DU) defeated Cohen 6-4, 6-2. On court three, Elizabeth Novak stormed to a 6-4, 6-4 win over Ehn (DU) before Lara Bakhaya defeated Lee (DU), 6-1, 6-0 on court five. Polina Shitikova won by forfeit on court six for the 4-1 Spider win.
