RICHMOND, Va. – Behind a swift doubles sweep for the Spiders, the University of Richmond Women's Tennis team picked up a 6-1 win over Bucknell Saturday afternoon at the Raintree Swim and Racquet Club. With the win, the Spiders evened their record at 2-2, while the Bison fell to 1-5 on the young season.

How it Happened
In doubles, Claire Le Du and Elizabeth Novak handed Miller/Sebilsky (BU) a 6-1 loss on court two while on court one, Lara Bakhaya and Andrea Campodonico ran away with a 6-2 win over King/Platt (BU). Carly Cohen and Lainey O'Neil went point-for-point with Lajos/Marcus (BU), and came out on top 6-4 to help the Spiders sweep the doubles point.

In singles, Le Du coasted to a 6-1, 6-1 win over Mair (BU) on court four, while Cohen defeated Platt (BU) 6-3, 6-4 on court two. Novak took Miller (BU) to three sets on court three, winning 4-6, 6-1, 10-6, before Bakhaya defeated Kate Novak (BU), 6-1, 6-1 on court five. To round out the match, O'Neil bested Manolov (BU) 6-3, 6-1 on court six. Bucknell got one singles victory off on court No. 1, as Campodonico narrowly fell to Lajos (BU), 2-6, 7-5, 10-7.
