KINGSTON, R.I. – The University of Richmond women's soccer team dropped a tough 6-0 decision at Rhode Island Thursday night to move to 3-6-2 on the year and 1-3 in Atlantic 10 Conference action while the Rams improved to 5-5-2 on the season and 2-2 in the A-10.

How it Happened
The Rams immediately got out on the offensive front, netting a goal in the 11^th minute. Brigitte Bussiere would have her second look of the game in the 12^th minute but would be collected by the URI keeper before the Rams posted three back-to-back shots. Abby Dillon and Emma Roesing would have chances in the 22^nd minute but wouldn't be able to equalize. The Rams then continued to put offensive pressure on the back line, posting three goals, including an own goal in the 39^th minute, to go up 4-0 at the half.

Rhode Island was able to get a shot off in the 50^th minute before posting its fifth goal in the 54^th minute. Three minutes later, the Rams would tack on their final goal of the night to go ahead 6-0. Kathryn Lennon, Anna Garcia and Dillon would all have chances in the closing minutes, but the Spiders were unable to put one back as the Rams took the game 6-0.

Notes on the Game

Five different Spiders posted shots in the match in Marisa Snee, Lennon, Garcia, Dillon and Bussiere.
McKenna Dalfonso played the full 90 minutes in goal and recorded eight saves.
Grace Ferrara also played the full 90 minutes in the game.
As a team, the Spiders posted 11 shots, eight on target and saw a pair of corner kicks.
