PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – In what was a rainy match day, the University of Richmond Women's Soccer team fell 3-0 on the road to La Salle Sunday afternoon. With the loss, the Spiders fell to 2-7-3 on the year and 0-4 in the Atlantic 10 Conference, while the Explorers improved to 4-5-2 and 2-1 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After opening the match with back-and-forth possession, the Explorers began the scoring campaign in the 40^th minute. In the second half, Molly Wierman opened up the second 45 with a shot that went just over the goal in the 55th minute. After a few fouls from the Explorers, La Salle netted the second goal in the 68^th minute against the run of play. Nine minutes later, the Explorers put up the third goal of the match in the 77^th minute. Wierman would put up one more shot in the half, but the Spiders couldn't put one back for the 3-0 score line.

NOTES ON THE GAME

Richmond put up five shots with one on goal.
Taylor Montague and Gena Pike split shifts in goal as Montague recorded 65 minutes and Pike recorded 26 minutes.
The duo combined for one save through six shots.
Molly Wierman paced the team with two shots while Casey Merz, Marisa Snee and Caitlin Sutton recorded a shot.
Richmond received yellow card in the 62^nd minute while La Salle recorded two yellows (70^th, 73^rd).
The series record against La Salle moved to 8-8.
