Spiders Drop Match to William & Mary Wednesday Afternoon

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Despite strong doubles matches and Daniel Kliebhan picking up a huge singles court one win, the University of Richmond Men's Tennis team dropped a tough match, 5-2, to William & Mary Wednesday afternoon. With the loss, the Spiders fell to 11-7 overall while the Tribe improved to 9-9 on the year.
In singles, Kliebhan picked up the lone singles win as he defeated George Davis 6-3, 6-4 on court one.
The Spiders had a strong showing in doubles play as Kliebhan and William Kaprpinski defeated Davis/Duo (W&M), 6-3, on court one and Sebastian Miano, alongside Alaister Burke, defeated Hansen/Joseph (W&M), 6-4, on court three to secure the doubles point.
The Spiders are set to begin a three-game homestand beginning with Davidson on Apr. 14 at 1 p.m., Dayton on Apr. 16 at 11 a.m. and will round out the regular season with Delaware on Apr. 20.
