FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The University of Richmond men's tennis team swept a doubleheader at Methodist on Sunday, winning both matches by a score of 6-1. The Spiders dropped just two singles matches the entire day to improve to 6-5 this season.

The Spiders took every doubles match on the day, and the duo of Campbell Erwin and John Walsh improved to 4-0 at No. 1 doubles while Ricky Bell and Alaister Burke improved to 3-0 as a pair.

Erwin moved up to the No. 2 spot in singles and went 1-1 on the day while Alex Wernink, Sebastian Miano, Josh Keitelman, and Bell each went 2-0 in singles action on the day. In the second match, the Spiders did not drop a single set at spots three through six in singles competition.

The Spiders return to action at home Monday, Mar. 14 when they host Rice at the Westhampton Tennis Complex beginning at 1 p.m.
