GREENVILLE, N.C. – The University of Richmond men's tennis team bounced back from a loss yesterday to take down Appalachian State, 5-2, Saturday at the ECU Indoor Tennis Center.
"That was a great weekend of college tennis matches," head coach Houston Barrick said. "Our guys showed unbelievable fight and heart today. We had a disappointing loss yesterday but you would've never known that by how we responded. I think that's a testament to our upperclassmen and their leadership."
The Spiders won the doubles point picking up wins at No. 2 and No. 1 doubles. Junior George Lovitt (Marvin, N.C.) and freshman John Walsh (Bryn Mawr, Pa.) took down Zion Heaven and Afonso Viana, 6-3, at No. 2 doubles.
