Spiders Close Season with 4-1 Loss in A-10 Semis

ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Richmond men's tennis team battled with crosstown rival and No. 1 seed VCU on Saturday morning, but the Spiders were unable to overcome an early deficit, falling 4-1 in the Atlantic 10 Semifinal round.

The Rams posted win at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles, taking an early 1-0 lead heading into singles action.

Senior James Aronson tied things up with a dominant performance on court 3, downing VCU's Philip Mobius, 6-1, 6-2.

The Rams took courts 6 and 2 to take a 3-1 lead. Klein Evans was close to a win on court 4, but VCU clinched the match with a win at No. 1.

The Spiders finish the season with a 14-11 record, winning 10 of their last 14 matches.
