
Spiders Sweep St. Bonaventure, 7-0

BLACKSBURG, Va. – A trio of Spiders picked up victories in singles and doubles action to lead the University of Richmond men's tennis team to a 7-0 sweep of Atlantic 10 foe St. Bonaventure on Saturday morning on the campus of Virginia Tech.
Juniors Alexandre Felisa and Jonathan Quenard, along with sophomore Caleb Troy, won in straight sets in singles action and also won on the doubles court to highlight the match.
The Spiders started off the day with a quick two wins in doubles action to take the first point of the day.
Troy pushed the lead to 2-0 with a 6-2, 6-2 win over SBU's Miki Nobuzawa at the fourth spot in the lineup. Felisa followed close behind with a 6-2, 6-2 win of his own over the Bonnies' Hector Martinez.
Quenard delivered the match clinching point with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Hristo Hristov to secure the win for Richmond.
Juniors Jacob Dunbar and Canyon Teague, along with sophomore James Aronson, also picked up singles victories to wrap up the Spiders' sweep.
Richmond is back in action next Sunday, February 14 when they travel to Davidson, N.C. to take on the Wildcats in an Atlantic 10 showdown. First serve is set for 10 a.m.
