
South Alabama Tops Wo Men's Tennis At Home

UNIVERSITY OF RICHMOND, Va. – The Richmond women's tennis team fell to the South Alabama Jaguars, 4-0, Saturday at the Westwood Tennis Center.
"South Alabama is a very strong team and it shows with their 14-1 record," commented Richmond head coach Mark Wesselink. "Despite the loss, I liked to seeing that we could compete at this level."
After falling behind a match in doubles, play the Spiders evened the score winning at the No. 1 spot. Melissa Kandinata and Anna Abadias Morales recorded the 8-4 victory, but Richmond then fell on court three to put the Jaguars up 1-0.
South Alabama then went on and secured three-straight singles matches to record the 4-0 victory.
The Spiders will return to the court tomorrow, April 6 at George Washington. Start time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
