
Salas Continues To Dominate Court 4 At Navy

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Despite sophomore Katya Salas four-match winning streak, the Richmond women's tennis team was edged by Navy, 4-3, afternoon at the Tose Family Tennis Center.
After clinching the victory over West Virginia Friday, Salas helped the Spiders to an early lead with claiming the doubles point with a 8-4 victory with Anna Abadias Morales on court two. Elizabeth Sims and Denny Lamachia was the other duo to clinch a doubles victory, a 8-6 victory at the No. 3 spot.
Salas rallied in singles action and held on for the 7-6(8-6), 4-6 ,6-3 win over Logan Antill. Kelsey Williams picked up the other victory for Richmond at the No. 6 spot, while Navy went ahead with victories on court one, two, three and five.
The Spiders will be back in action Saturday, March 1 against Old Dominion in Norfolk, Va., at 12 p.m.
