
Spiders defeat Mary Washington, 5-2

The Men's Tennis Team earns their fifth win of the season against No. 22 University of Mary Washington, 5-2.
Richmond rallied quickly in order to win the doubles point when Sebastien Fauchet and Dylan Schrode earned a 9-7 win over their opponent. The point was secured when Ethan Dunbar and Paul Nahon III defeated their opponents, 8-3.
Ethan Dunbar (Medina, Ohio/ Cloverleaf) earned a win in the No. 1 Singles position by beating Mary Washington's Sam Wichlin 6-1, 6-4. Sebastien Fauchet (Rochester, N.Y./Harley School) defeated his opponent 6-1, 6-3. Freshman Dylan Trent (Poway, Calif/ Poway) and Paul Nahon III (Springfield, Mo./Glendale) continued the rally, both defeating their opponents 6-3, 6-1, and 6-4, 6-2, respectively.
"After a tough week of practice, it was good to see the team compete," says Head Coach Ben Johnson. "Mary Washington played well and gave our guys tough matches. I am happy to come away with a win."
The Spiders return to action with their first home match at the Westhampton Tennis Complex on March 2nd.
