Men's Tennis Picks up a Pair of Wins

The Men's Tennis team earned back to back wins on Saturday. The Spiders downed Davidson College, 4-3 and Presbyterian College, 4-1 in Davidson N.C.
"It was a great day to be a Spider," says Head Coach Ben Johnson. "We played well as a team and the hard work is starting to pay off."
After dropping the first point in doubles play against Davidson, the Spiders came out fiercely in singles competition to earn the win.
Sophomore Ethan Dunbar defeated Davidson's Chris Mark, 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 while junior Sebastien Fauchet defeated his opponent in a straight set of 7-5, 6-4. Freshmen Dyaln Trent and Paul Nahoon III also defeated their opponents to put the Spiders ahead to win the match, 4-3.
The Spiders lost the doubles point against Presbyterian College but again rallied in singles play to earn the win.
In singles play, Ethan Dunbar bested Presbyterian's Rafael Berghaus, 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 in the No 1 position. Sebastien Fauchet followed up by downing his opponent 7-6, 6-4. Jesse Feder and Aaron Wicker both knocked off their opponents in a straight set to clinch the last two points. The fifth and sixth flight matchers went unfinished.
The Spiders will continue
play on February 18 against Longwood University in Conway S.C.
