
Men's Tennis Edged By Liberty

The Spiders were edged by Liberty, 4-3, Saturday afternoon at Westhampton courts.
"We had a slow start to doubles, but came back strong in singles, said head coach Ben Johnson. "We took the first set on four of the courts. We gave ourselves a good chance to win."
Richmond was swept in doubles action but took three singles matches as A.J. Nelson and Dylan Schrode all recorded victories. Feder beat Tristan Stayt 6-4, 6-4 while Nelson easily defeated Giancarlo Lemmi 6-3, 6-1 and Dylan Schrode picked up a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Stanislav Vaughan.
The Spiders (3-7) return to action at the Citadel Feb. 25 at 3:30 p.m.
